Transform Your Academic Journey with Expert Guidance

Overwhelmed by Research Life? You're Not Alone

You’re navigating academia… and it’s a lot.

As a PhD student, postdoc, or group leader, you’re constantly juggling research, deadlines, uncertainty, and interpersonal dynamics — often without clear guidance. You feel overwhelmed by expectations, isolated in decision-making, or unsure about how to grow into your role.

The academic path can be isolating and many researchers struggle silently, unsure where to turn for support.

You've Tried Everything, But Nothing Quite Clicks

You’ve read productivity blogs. You’ve asked your colleagues. Even been to a workshop — or ten. But you’re still left wondering how to apply all that advice to your own messy academic reality.

Or maybe what worked for others doesn’t quite fit you. General advice only takes you so far. Your colleagues may lack the time or perspective to help. And trying to figure everything out alone can lead to burnout, missed opportunities, or career choices you later regret.

You don’t have to do this alone. Bring your brain, your stress, your dreams: I'll meet you there!

  • Inclusive & affirming: I create a space where you feel safe, seen and supported — whatever your background, identity, or thinking style.

We won’t just talk about what’s hard — we’ll figure out why, and build sustainable, personalized solutions that evolve as you do.

Career Planning Coaching
Lukas Rückle, PhD
I did a coaching with Emma at the end of my PhD tackling the question of how to proceed with my career after the PhD. In the coaching I could thoroughly investigate what I want and what stops me from doing certain steps, get to know myself better and finally take a decision that I am content and happy with.

Interestingly, during the coaching I figured that the actual reasons why I did not consider certain career options were different from what I thought in the beginning would stop me. The coaching gave me the opportunity to see things from different perspectives and to find solutions for problems that fit to me. I liked the general approach, taking into account personal circumstances, priorities and peculiarities. As such, during the entire coaching I really had the feeling that everything is solely about me.

Also, I want to emphasize the good atmosphere and the trustful relationship which made it possible for me to share everything with Emma. I would again work together with Emma in a similar situation and can recommend to anyone unsure about their career to do a coaching with her.

A PhD is freaking hard! A Postdoc? Even harder.

So don’t do it alone.
